- We analyzed compensation data for Professionals from Retail, found them not aligned with Client’s budget, recommended a “source map” to find right candidates.
- We presented a choice of 5 candidates to Client resulting in a closure at a compensation right for the role
CEO Designate for a Manufacturing-dominant business
- Our Client, a Rs 1,000 Crores business and part of prestigious and prosperous Rs 2,300 Crores Group wanted to hire a CEO to succeed the incumbent who, after nearly 20 glorious years at the helm, was being moved up to a Board Position
- Business is technology- & capital-intensive; products are used directly on assembly lines of prestigious and discerning customers; in line with brand image of customer’s products, our client had to innovate & respond quickly with new designs at regularly reducing prices. Candidate has to be strong on operations, driving machine uptime, utilization, driving costs down, while leading the team from front in engaging with their customers.
- Along with Client, we drew up a Source Map of 30 Organizations with comparable business trajectory, pain points etc; screened candidates on multiple parameters before zeroing on the right one
Seeds Processing Head
- New Corporate position to bring alignment of discrete & distributed plant operations with corporate & business strategies
- An all-India position overseeing plant operations of all product lines, to drive productivity, quality
- Given nature of operations, recommended to client to pick Professionals experienced in plant operations of FMCG products
Head of HR
- Organization commissioned an International Consulting Organization to recommend organizational changes to drive growth and share-holder value
- As a strategy, Organization was working on a strong rural push for their products – quite a departure from their orientation till then. Organization was in need of a competent HR Professional who can plan and anchor the change management and bring in a processes-driven culture with focus on discipline and productivity at the plant level
- We recommended an HR Professional from an FMCG Organization to mesh very well with business context. This replacement position, at the Corporate Office, would report into the MD
VP Circulation for a Newspaper
- Client’s business was under financial pressure as some of their businesses did not do as well as they anticipated; the flagship Newspaper was also under a very serious threat of take-over
- Client was very clear that they needed an injection of fresh ideas and energy into their circulation; increased circulation may spur increases in advertising leading to a turnaround
- Hitherto, they had deployed Professionals from the Industry on this function; but, given the business context, we recommended that they should look at an FMCG Professional with rich experience in channel sales in intensely competitive environment. We recommended just 2 candidates for this role and filled with a Professional from a Lubricants MNC
CEO for Telangana Government’s IT Initiative
- Telangana Government was setting up a StartUp Incubator and mandated us to find a CEO for this Institution, one accountable for establishing an ecosystem for promoting StartUp culture and creating employment opportunities.
- Right candidate had to be (preferably, a successful) StartUp entrepreneur, clear on what kind of ecosystem would encourage StartUp culture and having right capabilities to manage diverse stake-holders, serve as a good role model for budding entrepreneurs and drive visibility, business viability and growth of Incubator. To the satisfaction of a very demanding Selection Board.
